espDNS

Open source · alpha 0.0.1

All the DNS. None of the rack.

espDNS turns a $20 ESP32 board into a full-featured DNS server: your own zones, secondaries from any primary, forwarders, a cache and blocklists. Two boards answer together, draw about a watt each, and keep answering when everything else on the network is having a bad day.

Real DNS. Tiny boards. Always answering.

espDNS is a full-featured DNS server that runs on ESP32 boards. Host your own zones, copy zones from the primary you already have, forward the rest, block the junk, and run two nodes so there is always one answering. All of it for about a watt and the price of a takeaway.
